Thank You!
It's been a while since the last post and I wanted to take some time to explain why.
We've been busy!!! Over the last three months, we have trained over 100 employees from 9 different companies with a 100 percent completion rate. It is crucial that I take some time, for me, to say to everyone who has taken the course already, THANK YOU for taking time out of your busy day for compliance, and more importantly, for yourself.
A responsible vendor certification is not something I want anyone to have to use as a mitigating factor; however, I am honored to have been chosen to help train your employees how to sell cannabis to the public compliantly. I want Konope to be a company that people trust, and it seems like slowly, but surely it will be. Over the next couple of weeks I will be compiling the testimonials from the first customers, and I can't wait to share their kind words. It truly means the world to me.
To The Joint, Ailea, our first customer, thank you for taking a chance with us, with me, because let's face it, it's only me. I will never forget the day I took the call and sold something I created. Moreover, the fact that it will go toward helping employees and then, in turn, customers and the community is extraordinary.
To Local Product, one of my old employers, things came full circle the day I took the call from you. Kayla and Petra thank you for allowing me to help. That day will always be a special one for me.
Colorado Harvest Company, Rachel, thank you. I will never be able to repay you for the help you gave me on the training. I will forever be in your debt, and I hope to keep doing business with you for a long time to come. Thank you for taking a chance on me. Mark the guy that could fly, thank you for taking the time to write the review. Kinds words from you mean a lot man, thank you.
Lush, Ms. Cindy and Chanel and Stefan, you will always have a special place in my heart. Your dispensary, your pride in customer service and your sincerity in helping patients find relief, is something that I will always cherish seeing. I never know I needed a bottle of water until you asked, :) Thank you. You guys are one of a kind!
I know I will never be back at the beginning again. I will never have that "ah ha" moment, again. Like when I chose my first companies name, or the feeling when I got my first client and called my fiance, Sarah, and told her the good news. I wanted to make a post to show my gratitude toward my first clients and tell them how much they mean to me. I will always be in debt to you for all you taught me; that my idea wasn't crazy, that I didn't suck as a "trainer" and that maybe this thing is something I can turn into a long term success.
To Future Clients:
I want to help this industry succeed, and I want to give every licensee a chance to show they care about doing the right thing too. By taking this course you are helping keep the public safe, you know how important it is to take responsibility for your actions as a budtender.
Budtending is, for better or worse, an entry-level position; however, the responsibility that goes along with selling cannabis to the public is a far cry from an entry-level position's "normal" level of responsibility. You generally don't see in any other industry, an entry-level position that carries with it the burden of being arrested on criminal charges if the mistake is big enough. Remember, we are selling a substance to the public, and that if we were one state over to the East, we would be put in jail for life for possession of as much cannabis as you sold before lunch.
We are privileged to be doing what we are doing. Many people have been thrown in jail or worse to allow the plants and more specifically prized genetics, to grow and develop to where they are today. We owe them to do this correctly. We owe them not to take for granted what we can do, and what some of them couldn't do, without prosecution.
Thank you to all who have taken the time out of their day to take my little training course, even if your boss told you to, thank you.
This is only the beginning, and I am soaking it in as much as possible. I am thankful, I will strive to be humble, and I will always do my best to help as much as I can.
Sincerely,
-Colin Mudd
